City Hall starts processing 2015 trade permit renewals

ZAMBOANGA CITY (ZNS) -  The city government through the Permits and Licensing Division of the City Mayor’s Office started yesterday, Nov. 3, accepting applications for new and/or renewal of business permits for 2015.

City Licensing Officer Benjie Barredo announced this yesterday as he called on business owners to start this early processing the necessary requirements for the renewal of their permits for 2015 to avoid the rush.

Normally, the deadline for renewal of business permits is January 20 of each year and owners of business establishments used to rush and swarm City Hall a week or two before the deadline.

Barredo said although it will only take 30 minutes to renew a business permit, provided all the requirements are properly complied with, business operators are still advised to start this early processing the requirements for renewal, considering the number of businesses operating in the city.

Meanwhile, Mayor Beng Climaco also appealed to the business community to avoid the rush in the renewal of their permits for 2015 by starting this early processing the requirements. (vtl)  (110714)
