ZAMBOANGA CITY (ZNS) – City Jail Warden Sr.Supt. Julius Aro of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penelogy (BJMP) has denied allegation of Padruno system or the so-called palakasan system  among the inmates  in this city .

Aro said that  it is not also true that the bureau is charging bed spacer at P 1,500 to P 8,000 as he does not tolerate any of this practice  at all.

According to Aro,  these allegations  are just to destroy his credibility as he categorically denied said allegations hurled against him by the relatives of the inmates .

“I am willing to be investigated and encourage  the complainant  to come and file formally the  said complains, “ Aro said

The BJMP has a total of 1,500 inmates with  170 females and 1340 males detained in 22 detention cells that are supposed to accommodate ideally  25 inmates per cells . (Letty M. Militante ) (091214)
