DOLE: 4 Zambo firms qualify
for DOLE Secretary’s Award
DOLE Regional director Sisinio Cano made this
announcement Friday during the awarding of certificates of compliance to more
than 200 companies here in the region.
Cano named the four companies as the following:
Western Mindanao Power Corporation; Permex Producers and Exporter Corporation;
Petron Corporation; and the Zamboanga del
All four firms except Zamsureco-1 are based in
this city.
Cano said the four companies are compliant to
General Labor Standards (GLS), Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Tripartite
Compliance Certificate for Labor Standards (TCCLS), and Child Labor Free
establishments.
Cano said the four firms are International
Organization Standardization (ISO)-certified.
He said they will nominate them to be recipient
of the DOLE Secretary’s Award.
He said that all companies nominated will be
validated “if they are really compliant” to labor standards by the DOLE central
office to determine the recipients of the award.
The DOLE Secretary’s Award is the highest
recognition given to labor compliant companies.
The
award is being given every December 8, which is the founding anniversary of
