NEA
allocates Php25.3-M for
electrification
of city’s sitios
This
was announced by first district Rep. Celso Lobregat, who is pushing for the
electrification of all areas in this city through his Sitio Electrification
Program.
Lobregat
is also closely coordinating with the Zamboanga City Electric Cooperative
(Zamcelco), NEA, and the Department of Energy (DOE) for the immediate
electrification of all sitios in this city.
Lobregat
said that Php8.9 million of the Php25.3 million had been allocated for the
electrification of six sitios in his district while the remaining Php16.4
million for the nine sitios in the second district.
The
individual allocation for the funded sitios in the first district as the
following: Sitio Cabonegro, Barangay Limpapa, Php2.1 million; Sitio Fairview,
Barangay La Paz, Php1.79 million; Sitio Garner, Barangay La Paz, Php1.15
million; Sitio Lacumba, Barangay Limpapa, Php1.75 million; Sitio Masalag,
Limpapa, Php1.2 million; and, Purok 7, Limpapa, Php940,000.
The
allocation for the second district are as follows: Sitio Azcuna, Barangay
Mercedes, is Php2.24 million; Sitio Bacud, Barangay Sibulao, Php873,000;
Peralta Drive, Mampang, Php1.06 million; Sitio Eligna, Dulian, Php2.83 million;
Camp Socorro, Bungiao, Php2.8 million; Kilometer 5, Bungiao, Php1.77 million;
Sitio Marangan, Limaong, Php1.5 million; Sitio Nangka, Bungiao, Php1.7 million;
and, Sapa Seco, Bungiao, Php1.55 million.
The 15
sitios were evaluated and have funding allocation out of the 80 sitios
programmed for 2014 as per NEA-Accelerated Total Electrification Office (ATEO).
Lobregat
said that Zamcelco has to submit pertinent documents necessary prior to the
evaluation of the other projects.
A
total of 160 sitios of Zamboanga City have been included in the “Once and for All Summit ” for the Sitio
Electrification Program (SEP) and Barangay Line Enhancement Program (BLEP)
Masterlist for Region IX.
One-half
or 80 of the 160 sitios are programmed for 2014 while the other 80 for 2015.
Lobregat
said he will push for the provision of appropriate funding for the SEP in the
fiscal year 2015 budget.
“I
will make sure that the target sitios be energized before 2016,” Lobregat
