TESDA
allocates P4-M for
City’s
employment training
ZAMBOANGA CITY (ZNS) - The Technical Education
and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) has allocated P4 million to conduct
special training for employment in this city.
TESDA
Regional Director Lorenzo Macapili said the training will be conducted in
coordination with the offices of first district Rep. Celso Lobregat and second
district Rep. Lilia Nuño.
Macapali
said a total of 484 individuals or at 242 each districts will be trained. The
beneficiaries of the training will be chosen by the two congressional offices.
Macapili
said the beneficiaries will be trained on automotive, plumbing, electrical,
masonry, electronics, manicure and pedicure, massage, facial and make-up,
air-conditioning, refrigeration, welding and food.
Macapili
said the training on refrigeration. Welding, plumbing and automotive will be
conducted at the TESDA training center in Barangay San Roque, this city.
He
said the training, which is targetted to culminate by the November this year,
is aimed to equip the beneficiaries the proper knowledge to be productive
individuals.
He
said the beneficiaries will also be given livelihood started kits upon
graduation to be able to start earning a living.(PNA) (090914)
