DPWH to install 22 road
signs in City’s highways

ZAMBOANGA CITY (ZNS) -The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is set to install 22 Asian Highway (AH) signages in this city’s east coast highway to guide the travelers.
DPWH District Engineer Cholie Roble said Tuesday the AH signs will be installed starting this week from Barangay Licomo to City Hall.
Licomo is located 85.45 kilometers east and is the last barangay to the east coast boundarys of this city with Tungawan, Zamboanga Sibugay province.
Roble said the AH signages are directional signs to guide travelers as to the distance and location. The signages are visible even at night time since these are reflectorized.
“These (signages) will guide the drivers where to go,” he added.

He said they have allocated at least P50,000 for the labor cost in the installation of the signages given them by the DPWH central office. (PNA) (080814)
