that a huge fire struck Senteno Subdivision in Lacasteville, Pasonanca around
4:25pm Saturday engulfing some 40 houses made of semi-concrete and light
materials. A paralytic, Virgilio Nunez, 80 years old, was trapped and perished
in the incident.
Damage
to property was estimated to have reached more or less P1.2 million. The fire
was said to have originated from the house of Robert Calapis.
As of
yesterday, a total of 92 families with 266 dependents have been displaced,
based on records from the City Social Welfare and Development Office. Of the
total number, 59 are house owners, 18 house renters, 18 sharers and one
boarder.

families with 242 dependents are occupying 13 classrooms at the Pasonanca Elementary School as evacuation center.
Accompanying
